Speaking as an outsider, you can definitely tell there was some contention at the convention. This is normal and I believe healthy for the body as long as it is done constructively.
The State convention proceedings can be watched here, here, here, and finally here.
I recommend that anyone who is commenting on the happenings of the convention see for themselves what happened before reaching a conclusion. Personally, I think I'm going crazy because I actually enjoyed watching the 7+ hours worth of video. I'm considering donating to TVW in thanks of their coverage.
I'll (or others) can comment to this post with specific times in the videos where Whatcom County delegates participated.

In this video at approx 1h 45min Aaron Rupp, Whatcom County PCO and State delegate motions to suspend the rules and accept all the "do pass" resolutions in one vote.
There was some really good debate on both sides of that motion.
You watched ALL 7+ hours???
Dude, you need to go fishing...
Yeah, I wasn't insinuating that it was a bad move, just documenting where everyone could see a local guy get involved. I expected a motion like that. The real action was in the "do not pass" resolutions.
I think Christy got up and spoke earlier on. You should show her instead of Aaron's ugly mug...
I agree, some of those Do not pass recomendations should have had some debate, but if every one of them was debated especially with so many folks calling for a "point of order", when a point of personal privelegde may have been more appropriate, we would all still be in spokane and fired from our jobs back here in Whatcom County...
I have been elected to every State convention since 2000,and it always seems that the groans coming from the body are about the points of order and points of personal priveledge, and on the final day many folks just start getting tired and want to go home.
Aaron broke up the tension in the 2nd congressional district when he asked the chair for a point of personal ignorance and Jeff Kent State committeeman put him in his place...purty funny, even the parlimentarian got a chuckle out of it. too bad that wasn't on video.
excuse me Jeff, if you're reading this, I mean National Committeeman Jeff Kent.
My Bad...
